Since being called up on 1/3/11, Ryan McDonagh has only been out of the lineup for one game.

Last season, McDonagh played in all 82 regular season games and all 20 playoff games.

McDonagh suffered what is believed to be a concussion on Saturday.

McDonagh is averaging 23:44 per game, nearly 20 minutes at even strength and 3:15 on the PK, and has two goals and three assists in 17 games.

He has 30 hit sand 35 blocked shots.

Marc Staal said today, “Mac is a huge part of our D core. He is a special player, I haven’t talked to him today. The guys need to step up in his absence if he doesn’t play.”
