10:34AM Last night, late in the third period, Derek Stepan was checked hard by Martin Hanzal in front of the Phoenix bench.
After the play, Rick Nash skated towards Hanzal, bumped him, said something and then dropped the gloves.
Brad Richards said after the game that it was a good sign and one of the only positives that he felt the Rangers could take from the game. Richards added that the team has to come together and what Nash did is “one way to do it.”
Nash, according to Hockey Fights, has had seven fights in his NHL career and two in his OHL career.
