A reader passed along an email exchange that he had with Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch about Rick Nash and the Rangers.
Portzline writes in the email, “The Rangers and Blue Jackets make a lot of sense as trade partners. There’s a need on the Rangers’ part, most believe, and the Rangers also have a plethora of young, skilled forwards who could facilitate the trade. The Blue Jackets have long loved Brandon Dubinsky, too.”
Portzline also notes that the Blue Jackets obviously would want Chris Kreider in a trade, but can’t say for sure that not including him would be a deal breaker.
At ESPN Insider, Craig Custance writes that Columbus may insist that Chris Kreider be involved in any trade for Nash after his performance in the playoffs for the Rangers. Custance adds, “At this point, it’d be really tough for the Rangers to trade one of the best young skaters in the game.”
As of 11:43AM, Chris Kreider was the leader in a poll that asked which Rangers would you consider untouchable.
