News: JT Miller To Hartford

1/10/14 10:12PM: The Rangers are sending JT Miller to Hartford so that he can play on Saturday and Sunday for the Wolf Pack. (Rangers)

The Wolf Pack play the AHL Penguins on Saturday and the Sound Tigers on Sunday.

The Wolf Pack lost 3-1 to the AHL Sharks tonight.

On MSG, Dave Maloney said that Miller is not a fourth line player and that going to Hartford should benefit him.

JT gets more icetime in HFD so it's not the worst idea to send him down. Carcillo brings some at the moment that we were lacking of, toughness. Better playing big minutes in the A as sitting in the pressbox. Just my point of view...

It would be one thing if he was lighting up the score sheet, but he's not... the goal is to win hockey games, not coddle a 22 yr old.

Miller is not 22, he's 20 and was playing very well. Give him second line minutes and he would provide. It's not like he's some talentless rookie because he not lighting it up. The guy should be in the lineup gaining experience, though I understand this move.
