During the post game show on Saturday night, and via Andrew Gross, Henrik Lundqvist said that he was exhausted after making 48 saves and didn’t even know what he was saying in response to questions from reporters.
Last night on MSG, Lundqvist said that he wasn’t at his best and fatigue may have played a part, “I have to be a little bit better. They have some skilled players up front. I felt like I was battling and making poor decisions. I thought we played pretty good, but they exposed us a few times with their quickness. I need to make better reads and be a little faster. I’m not gonna lie, I felt a little slow. I need to take tomorrow to recover a little bit.”
Lundqvist was named one of the three stars of week by the NHL for last week.
