Ryan McDonagh said on MSG after the Islanders game that Talbot is a calming influence, much like Henrik Lundqvist, and that that he makes smart plays, controls his rebounds and “thrives off the intensity of the games.”

Anson Carter said on MSG that Talbot is playing square to the puck and is looking like the play is coming to him.

Talbot said on MSG after the Islanders game that all he ever wants to do is give his teammates a chance to win and that he is able to stay calm but not getting too wound up and pulling himself out of position.

After the Blue Jackets game, Talbot was asked about his teammates having confidence in him and he said that everyone on the team has faith in each other.

Derek Dorsett said that Talbot was “unbelievable” against the Blue Jackets and the way that he handles himself allows for his teammates to have confidence in him.
