Read: Benoit Pouliot Has Been A Difference Maker Lately

PouliotBenoit Pouliot scored his second goal of the season last night and his first game winner as a New York Ranger.

Pouliot skated on a line with Carl Hagelin and Brad Richards and ran a criss-cross/give and go with Hagelin on the winner.

Alain Vigneault said after the game last night that Pouliot has become a difference maker in the last few games and that he is taking advantage of an opportunity right now with Carl Hagelin and Rick Nash out of the lineup.

On the season, Pouliot has 18 shots on goal, 4 shots that missed the net and five shots that were blocked.

  • Over the last three games he has 2 goals, 1 assit, 4 shots on goal, 1 shot that missed the net and 1 shot that was blocked

On-ice this season, Pouliot has been on for 99 shot attempts for, 108 against, 49 shots on goal for and 60 against at even strength.

A few weeks ago, Pouliot told the Daily News that he is feeling the best he ever has to start a season but said that he knows he has to produce if he is on one of the top two lines.

He says he knows what he can bring to the lineup and he just needs to execute.

Pouliot said that he needs to have some patience and not push the panic button yet but, again, said that being on the top two lines means you have to produce.

He is one of the players that Alain Vigneault put on notice earlier in the season.
