3:11PM: Jeff Klein, in the NY Times, spoke with Sauer’s agent Ben Hankinson who said “I wish I could give you some kind of timetable on when or if he can come back, but I can’t. Unfortunately it’s still day to day, week to week, month to month.”
He added, Michael’s condition is still very much an up-and-down thing. We’re hoping for the best, but we just don’t know right now.”
12:36PM: According to Andrew Gross, John Tortorella said today that the Rangers aren’t discussing the possibility that Michael Sauer can return from his concussion and play right now.
Sauer has been out since 12/5/11 when he took a big hit from Dion Phaneuf.
