Note: Marty Biron Is Starting Tonight and Feels Good

Last season, John Tortorella spoke of how important Marty Biron was to the Rangers and how he helped them get as far as they did.

Tonight, Biron will make his first start of the season against Tampa Bay.

Biron told Ranger Rants that he feels good heading into tonight against the high scoring lightning,

“I feel good. I’ve been getting ready, kind of underline some points that you want to focus on, some things you want to do. I’ve been trusting that for two years now, the work you put in in practice and the game situations we do is going to prepare you for the games. So that’s what I’ve been doing.”

He added that it doesn’t necessarily matter how much he plays, but how hard he works in practice.

Biron did play about half the game in the home opener after John Tortorella pulled Henrik Lundqvist.

The Rangers plan to use the same kind of rotation with their goalies this season that they did last season.
