Lundqvist has seen 237 shots and stopped 215 of them. Against the Islanders, Lundqvist stopped 27 of 28 shots

When talking about his game, Lundqvist told Larry Brooks in the NY Post, “I don’t think I’m that far away, I don’t think I’m playing badly but I know I’m not where I want to be and need to be.”

Brooks writes that just being “good” isn’t going to hack it for the Rangers this season, “he had been good, but that isn’t good enough for a team whose Stanley Cup aspirations rest on a foundation of goaltending excellence.”
