2:16PM: Kreider said that his ankle has “definitely” improved over the past few days but wants to at least go through a full practice before he returns to the Rangers lineup.

He told Ranger Rants “You have to be smart with something like this and take it one day at a time. I assume to get in the lineup, you have to be practicing. I’ve just done a couple of optional skates. So, no.”

12:24PM: According to a tweet from Pat Leonard, Chris Kreider will travel with the team down to Tampa Bay tomorrow and said that his ankle is feeling better.

Kreider told the team’s twitter account that he is unsure if he will play tomorrow.

Leonard adds “he likely needs a couple full practices to heal & work his way back”
