In the NY Post, Larry Brooks spoke with captain Ryan Callahan about the Rangers struggles this week on defense.
In thee third period on Tuesday the Rangers gave up three goals to the Bruins and in the second period on Tuesday against the Islanders, the Rangers gave up three goals in eight minutes.
Callahan told Brooks that the defensive breakdowns and structure are a concern and that the team hasn’t been able to execute the same way that they did last year.
He added that the Rangers aren’t blocking shots as well as they need to and the team needs to get back to the basics of their game.
