The Rangers have announced that Ryan Callahan WILL BE in the Rangers lineup tonight after missing the last few games with a shoulder injury he suffered last Tuesday against the Flyers.
On his return to the lineup, Ryan McDonagh told the Rangers website, “he plays our identity so well. If there are stretches when we aren’t playing our game or our intensity is falling, he can bring it back up with one shift. It’s great to have that in a player and have that guy on your team.”
Callahan will also help bring leadership back to the team which McDonagh says is necessary, especially with Dan Girardi out.
Brian Boyle is scratched along with Dan Girardi and Stu Bickel.
Steve Eminger is in the lineup and Henrik Lundqvist is starting in net.
